Our products are sold in three ways.
The first method, whoch is also the oldest, consists of offering our products for sale at local markets . You can find our market stall at Bergerac, Lalinde, Villeneuve, Libourne, Bordeaux and some other Perigord towns.

Several times a year our products can also be found at the farmers’ markets. These markets are a new idea developed by country farmers and craftsmen. They are held in the middle of the farm itself giving an atmosphere of yesteryear. You can shop at these markets from 10am to 5pm or from 5pm to 10pm depending on the time of year and the location.
At the same time you can sample the local products. Tables and chairs are provided whilst music and cabaret enliven the atmosphere for your further enjoyment. When it’s the turn of VALADOU to be host you can even visit the farm installations and the cheese making area while you are there. It’s a new idea and one that’s very well accepted as witness this article from the local daily newspaper Sud Ouest (South West). Sud Ouest comments on the farmers market of 21 August 2002.

The second method consists of offering our products for
sale through specialist outlets. Thus we are listed by most good quality local
and regional supermarkets and restaurants.
The third method is the most up to date. As you’ve probably guessed already, it’s selling via the internet. This page is part of it.
It’s a way of sharing our know how with the whole world. Our ambition is to make our cheeses well known because of their reputation for the highest quality

In spring and summer the farmers market takes place at several farms near Bergerac in Perigord. Three times a year this market, which is typical of the region , takes place at the VALADOU farm.
From 10am to 5pm or from 5pm to 10pm depending on the time of year you can visit these markets
If you arrive at milking time (6pm to 9pm) you can watch the whole process. It’s fascinating to watch the procession of 400 goats following one another in to be milked, and then filing back out where they enjoy the good fresh grass; a sight which appeals to young and old alike
If you prefer to visit the cheesemaking area that’s also possible. A preplanned tour round the heart of the cheese still shows the details of the cheese making process. You can see the curdling room as well as the drainage and drying rooms for the cabecous and St. Agne cheeses, the Tomme drying rooms, the packaging and loading warehouses and the sales area.
Take your time shopping for farm produced products. Amongst them you will find duck and goose ‘foie gras’ preserved in it’s own fat; all the garden vegetables, strawberries, honey wine, traditionally baked bread, jams, walnuts and much more.
Usually a donkey cart is available to take you for a drive round the farm.
In addition Georges is at hand to explain to you the old arts and crafts, and show you farm implements and blacksmith tools of former times. Also on display are willow baskets, decorations made from natural products, and sometimes vintage cars as well.
Tables and chairs are available so that you can sample your
purchases. All of this right on the farm and there’s music too!
It’s representative of the region although unique around
Bergerac. Everything comes from the rich local land. It’s Perigord.
